The picturesque little harbour town of Aberaeron (2½ miles) boasts shops, inns, a leisure centre and shingle beach, whilst Cei Bach and the seaside village of New Quay, both within 4 miles, have sandy sheltered beaches.
Boats leave the harbour at New Quay on dolphin sightseeing trips, and fine walking, bird watching (this is a Red kite area), riding, golf, fishing, quad biking and go karting are all available nearby.
Snowdonia is about 1½ hours' drive.
